Anti Ally is a catchy single from the sibling duo of Attila and Tunde who were born in Vienna, Austria to a father who was a member of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
They grew up listening to him practicing and both took up instruments at an early age, Attila the cello and Tunde the flute.
Although they both studied classical music, Attila being tutored by some of the best cellists in Vienna and Tunde winning flute competitions, they soon realised that their hearts weren’t in the classical area.
Attila immersed himself in electronic music while Tunde started singing.
When Attila needed a vocalist for one of his compositions he asked his sister if she was interested and so the partnership began.
I was drawn to Anti Ally by the quality of the composition, strong lyrics, and the impressive performance of Tunde’s vocals.
There is no doubt that their classical music upbringing has equipped them with the relevant skills to turn their ideas into solid well-constructed songs.
Attila’s insistent bass driven rhythm underpins Anti Ally but he colours the whole thing with multiple rhythmic changes, scattered rattling percussion and occasional siren sounds.
Tunde’s vocal is controlled and understated increasing the tension and focusing our attention on the powerful lyrics.
This is the only track that I’ve heard from them, and the quality is such that I suggest you keep an eye out for more songs.
There’s an interesting clip for Anti Ally on YouTube so look them up.
