Diplomats’ expelled from Russia
The Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs have announced that the Russian Government is to expel two Australian diplomats.
The Ministers said was not an unexpected reaction following Australia’s decision to expel two Russian diplomats.
They said the Australian action was taken in concert with 28 other nations responding to an attempted assassination of a former Russian spy on British soil on 4 March.
“Our first priority is to look after our staff by assisting those who will be returning to Australia,” the Ministers said. They asked the media to respect the privacy of the expelled diplomats.
