Vinyl Lounge to spin singles
The National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) has announced that its Vinyl Lounge is celebrating four-and-a-half years of operation with a special event, focusing exclusively on seven-inch singles.
Host at the Vinyl Lounge and Sound Curator at the NFSA, Thorsten Kaeding (pictured) said the seven-inch single was the way most people of a certain age started their record collections.
“They were affordable and had the song you were crazy about at the time; if you were lucky they might even have a great B-side that would lead you to explore the artist further,” Mr Kaeding said.
The free event will be held on 1 June from 5.30 pm to 7 pm.
