VicRoads has significantly expanded its Regional Surface Transport program, looking to fill several newly created positions across the State’s regions.
VicRoads said the expansion was made possible by State and Federal Government stimulus packages which allocated $159 million to regional road maintenance and improvement works.
“To support the delivery of this expanded works program (we look) to fill several newly created engineering, surveillance, and project management roles across regional Victoria – particularly across North Eastern Victoria and Gippsland,” VicRoads said.
“There are a number of entry-level roles suitable for early career professionals looking to kickstart their career, as well as several mid-level roles for those wanting to take the next step,” it said.
“The available jobs will work on a variety of projects including road resurfacing, routine road maintenance, bushfire recovery, bridge strengthening, landslip prevention and more, helping our regional communities bounce back from what has been a tough year.”
VicRoads said Regional Roads Victoria (RRV) was committed to supporting employees to achieve work-life balance and providing flexible and inclusive working environments.
“Working in the Regional Transport Surface team can be challenging, and extremely rewarding,” it said.
“We think outside the box, work collaboratively, and make a difference in our communities.”
VicRoads said that while the positions on offer were full-time positions, it was open to job-sharing arrangements and encouraged interested applicants who were looking for part-time employment to apply.
