The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) is calling for fresh talent to join its ranks with the opening of its 2023 Graduate Development Program.
Executive General Manager, People & Culture at AEMO, Geraldine Leslie said the Graduate Development Program provided a launch pad for graduates to build their careers in the country’s rapidly evolving energy sector.
“Successful candidates will be provided with rewarding experiences, working as part of AEMO’s talented team of energy professionals, while gaining exposure to many areas of our organisation through a structured rotational program,” Ms Leslie said.
“This is a very exciting time to be part of one of the world’s most dynamic industries,” she said.
“If you are curious about learning more about AEMO and working with some of the best and brightest minds at the centre of Australia’s energy future, check out AEMO’s Careers website.”
Ms Leslie said applications were open until 19 September for students completing their studies this year, or recent graduates, in electrical engineering, technology/digital, science and mathematics, data science, and economics.
In a statement, AEMO said the Graduate Development Program was a rotational program, involving rotations across the business.
“That means you will have the opportunity to guide your own career at AEMO, learning about the sectors you value most,” it said.
“Throughout your time at AEMO, you’ll also be supported by managers, mentors and buddies to ensure you’re learning from some of the best and brightest minds this industry has to offer.”
