It’s a great way to finish a year at the ACT Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards where the nominees, their sponsors and their families gather to celebrate ‘Small changes that make a big difference’.
The Great Hall at Parliament House was the venue and it was chock-a-block, with a waiting list for spare seats. Kulture Break danced and their nominee for the Emerging Young Leader and eventual winner James O’Hehir – who is now their inclusion ambassador – sang ‘Just the Way You Are’ beautifully.
The support for these awards has grown exponentially. Government, business and community groups sponsor the awards and are great examples of people thinking outside their square.
