The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) has invited its podcast listeners to register their views and preferences for podcasts in the Corporation’s 2018 Australian Podcast Survey.
The ABC is inviting patrons to “tell us when and how you listen to podcasts and what you love about them”.
It says the the survey findings will reveal how much time Australians spend listening to podcasts, where they like to listen to them and whether their appetite for podcasts is growing.
The ABC said that as Australia’s leading podcast producer it was committed to supporting the local audio industry to tell better stories for listeners here and overseas.
“The survey results will be revealed at Ozpod 2018, Australia’s premier podcast industry conference for audio storytellers, producers and innovators,” the ABC said.
“The annual event, on 17 October in Melbourne, will bring together leading podcasters from across the world.”
It said Ozpod speakers so far included international award-winning podcast producers and storytellers, Julia Lowrie Henderson and Veronica Simmonds.
“They will share their secrets for creating successful and distinctive series with social impact,” the ABC said.
The 2018 Australian Podcast Survey closes on 7 October and further information can be accessed at this PS News link or at #OzPod2018.
