Services Australia has launched a new website, making online dealings with the Agency simpler and more accessible for its clients.

Minister for Government Services, Linda Reynolds said the initiative was part of the Agency’s broader transformation of digital and face-to-face services.

“The new-look website has been designed with the customer experience at heart, as part of our commitment to delivering simpler and more accessible Government services for Australians,” Senator Reynolds said.

“Over the past few months, more than 13,000 people across different communities have participated in testing sessions, providing feedback on the website’s look and feel, the new icons and how easy the information is to understand and navigate,” she said.

Senator Reynolds said the website had been structured around ‘life events’, like raising children, looking for work, or retirement.

“It’s a digital navigator, with new content to guide customers to information about the services most relevant to the circumstances they’re facing,” she said.

“This approach makes it easier and faster for people to find the information they need, based on their individual circumstances.”

The Minister said the majority of survey participants said the new site was better than, or as good as, the previous website and delivered a much better user experience.

She said the new-look website aligned with the Government’s Digital Economy Strategy that was transforming Government services.

“People are accessing Government support digitally more than ever, and this is just one of many changes which will help make that experience simpler,” Senator Reynolds said.
