The Department of Health is to establish pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics for 100 postcodes across the State.

Announcing the pop-up vaccination program, Premier, Daniel Andrews said the new sites would target priority postcodes with an immediate focus on the northern and western suburbs of Melbourne.

“Victoria is launching a new program covering 100 postcodes that establishes community and school-based pop-ups in areas that need them most and where barriers to vaccination may exist,” Mr Andrews said.

“Five community-based pop-ups and eight school-based pop-ups will initially begin administering vaccinations over the next two weeks, with many more to open soon,” he said.

“The five community pop-ups will be based in the Hume, Dandenong and Casey local government areas and will be hosted in Council and religious settings to offer tailored support for local diverse communities.”

Mr Andrews said the first eight school pop-up clinics for students would be at Dandenong High School; Point Cook Secondary College; Gladstone Park Secondary College; Roxburgh College; Brunswick Secondary College; Tarneit Senior College; Werribee Secondary College; and Lakeview Senior College.

The Premier said the next round of secondary schools would provide access to vaccines for students, their families and the local community at Narre Warren South P-12 College, Mount Ridley P-12 College and Hazel Glen College.

Mr Andrews said the number of school-based pop-ups was set to expand rapidly, with approximately 70 school sites earmarked for all members of the community.
