When will we get the recognition of human rights for our Indigenous people sorted?
With the quietly persuasive, intelligent and compelling words of Professor Mick Dodson at the “Road to Recognition: an international Perspective” address from three of this complex world’s most respected and interesting speakers, it was the mesmerising voice of the Professor that kept coming back to us all to get over it and get on with it.
Victoria Tauli-Corpuz, Special Rapporteur on the rights of Indigenous peoples and Mattias Ahren, Professor of Law at the Arctic University of Norway, joined our Mick to discuss and extrapolate the premise for our long and winding Road to Recognition.
And we are the ones with most of the problems.
Yes. You and me, the white bods with white racist issues to deal with, and something that Professor Mick would be happy to help us resolve.
Would that it could be so simple!
