WA Police have embarked on the single biggest recruitment drive for new officers in the State’s history.
The new campaign, Let’s Join Forces has been developed to help attract hundreds of new police over the next four years.
Minister for Police, Michelle Roberts said Let’s Join Forces showcased the diversity of the WA Police Force, along with the many and varied roles to which police might be called.
“To ensure policing is captured in all its forms and functions, film crews worked at various locations across metropolitan, regional and remote WA,” Ms Roberts said.
“The recruitment campaign, which has cost $1.8 million, will run across multiple platforms.”
She said the Joondalup Police Academy would be busier than ever before, and extra training resources had been allocated to ensure it could operate at full capacity.
“Our community needs and deserves the best resourced and trained Police Force it can have, and it is brilliant that the Government is delivering this,” Ms Roberts said.
“Not only have we delivered extra police, but we’ve also been able to provide them with the best kit money can buy.”
She hoped the “exciting, new campaign will attract the best and brightest of our people from across the community”.
