Australia Post has launched its first ever branded mobile phone product – the Australia Post FlexiSIM card.
Executive General Manager, Community and Consumer at Australia Post, Nicole Sheffield said the SIM card offered users three “easy and competitive” plans at a cost of $19, $25 or $35 per month.
“The $25 plan provides 20GB of data with unlimited text and calls,” Ms Sheffield said.
“The 30-day no lock-in contract plans all feature data sharing and data gifting – providing flexibility for family and friends on FlexiSIM.”
She said all the plans include unlimited talk and text within Australia and a choice of data inclusions, with international calls to 30 countries also available for two of the three plans.
“Named for its flexibility, FlexiSIM customers will be able to upgrade their plan at any stage within their billing cycle if, for example, they realise they require more data,” Ms Sheffield said.
She said the FlexiSIM also allowed sharing or gifting of data between users.
“Users can share data with up to five FlexiSIMs on the same account,” she said.
“They can also gift up to 5GB of data in 1GB increments to anyone on a FlexiSIM plan.
“My hope is that this new mobile phone offer from Australia Post will give more people the chance to connect and spread the merry this Christmas”.
Ms Sheffield said the FlexiSIM was available for purchase now from Australia Post outlets or online.
