The University of Canberra (UC) has maintained its top spot in the Good Universities Guide for producing graduates who secure full-time employment earlier and starting salaries higher than other tertiary education institutions in the ACT.
Vice-Chancellor and President of UC, Professor Deep Saini said UC had also earned top ranking in the Territory for social equity, first generation students, learning resources, skills development and study support.
“The Good Universities Guide results prove our ethos of career-orientated degrees, work-integrated learning, and ensuring that a university education is in reach for first-in-generation students,” Professor Saini said.
“Not only does UC provide more pathways to higher education, it also supports students through learning resources, skills development and student support, as evidenced by this feedback.”
Professor Saini said the University also ranked number one in the ACT for teaching quality, learning resources, quality educational experiences, skills development, student support, learner engagement and full-time employment across almost 90 categories in specialist subject areas in all faculties.
He said the categories ranged from architecture to business management, communications to information systems, nursing to law, and pharmacy to education as well as many more.
“We are the university for Canberra, from Canberra and of Canberra,” he said.
“We are here to serve our city, and through it the nation,” Professor Saini said.
