Two leading providers in digital forensics and AI solutions have embarked on a new partnership, which is set to deliver intelligence officers a toolkit with faster evidence-gathering and analysis.
The Canberra-based Trellis Data and UK-based CCL Solutions Group (CCL) recently announced their partnership forged by Cairn Advisory Group, to integrate Trellis Data’s Secure Chat, Vision and Speech solutions with CCL’s portfolio of digital forensics, data acquisition and analysis capabilities.
Trellis Data are experts in a range of AI and deep neural network technologies, including natural language processing and translation, object detection and decision-making at the edge. They also develop and deploy highly accurate speech-to-text models across more than a hundred languages and dialects, which can be used for bespoke use cases.
Trellis Data CEO, Michael Gately, said his organisation is very excited to expand their work with law enforcement by partnering with CCL.
“Our suite of applications is specifically designed to manage and analyse vast amounts of data, including thousands of hours of audio daily, making it a perfect match for CCL’s needs in supporting police and intelligence operations,” Mr Gately said.
Among the variety of Trellis products being used in the toolkit is Secure Chat, a highly secure knowledge management system, that offers full traceability back to each data source and is able to search over a million documents in seconds.
Through this AI-led approach, intelligence officers will be able to make queries and draw connections from across numerous streams of information, providing unparalleled oversight of surveillance data.
Led by former senior law enforcement professionals, CCL are Europe’s largest ISO 17025 accredited Digital Forensics provider. They use their team of globally recognised experts to support policing, investigative bodies, the military, government agencies and global corporations.
CCL CEO, Noel McMenamin, said he is delighted to offer this new toolkit with Trellis that’s designed for agencies and organisations with investigative, security and privacy needs.
“Our combined solutions provide organisations with a powerful workflow to acquire and extract value from a variety of data types and offer secure, multilingual transcription tailored to meet mission objectives,” Mr McMenamin said.
“Together our partners, organisations and agencies now have streamlined access to solutions that ensure data acquisition, analysis and control, to maximise their potential.”
Between Trellis’ mastery of AI-powered knowledge and natural language processing, and CCL’s secure data analysis platform, the partnership is set to establish a new standard of surveillance technology for law enforcement and intelligence agencies worldwide.
“This partnership was forged by Cairn Advisory Group in response to a precise large scale, operational and legislative requirement,” Mr McMenamin said.
“In the course of satisfying this program, our collective synergies became obvious and we are delighted this has led to a broader relationship.”
Cairn Advisory Group CEO Paul Crowhurst said the consulting firm is rapidly building a reputation for finding the best technology companies and creating robust partnerships with the specific focus to create relevant and meaningful cooperation.
“By building this relationship we have helped create a collaboration that will significantly improve operational efficiency whilst building far greater situational awareness while preserving the optional use of data as evidence.” Mr Crowhurst said.
