The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) has signed an ongoing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), aimed at maintaining collaboration between the public sector and the ICT industry.
The MoU reinforces the original agreement of March, 2018 which up until now has been renewed annually.
Chief Executive of the DTA, Randall Brugeaud said the strength of the relationship had grown to the point where both parties had agreed to make the MoU a permanent agreement.
“This shows the commitment of both sides to deliver world class citizen and Government digital services that benefits Australia’s digital industry,” Mr Brugeaud said.
“Under the ongoing agreement, the DTA and AIIA will continue to exchange information, experiences and expertise to achieve better outcomes for people and businesses using Government digital services.”
Chief Executive of the AIIA, Ron Gauci said the relationship had benefitted both parties.
“The DTA has access to the best digital technology practices in Australia through the AIIA membership and is able to use our network to understand how it can best implement change through Australia’s Government digital services,” Mr Gauci said.
“The signing of the ongoing MoU between both parties demonstrates the commitment the Agency has to working with industry to collaborate and share knowledge.”
Both parties agreed that they would continue to lead discussion and introduction of ICT technology and best practices between Government and industry.
They would continue to seek ways to increase skills in Australia’s ICT industry and to champion women in technology.
