Such heartfelt sentiments aptly express the trendy, fashionable ambience at the Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok, Thailand. Ideally located near the heart of the best eating, drinking and shopping options, you also have access to all the amenities that makes the city famous.

Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok positioned down a quiet side street, just a short stroll away from all the action. Attention to detail, star perfection and competent service add some magical touches. My recent short stay there was also unforgettable, for a number of other reasons. Celebrating my birthday there, and partaking of some special meals – courtesy of dining at the Lelawadee Restaurant – were a taste sensation.

Sharing in the delights during happy chocolate hour is highly recommended. What a remarkable array of cakes, pastries and chocolates, all well complemented with iced coffee (minus the cream) and other beverages. Indulgence is ideal for those with a ‘sweet’ tooth.

This is one-of-a-kind chocolate bar, where master mixologists create chocolate cocktails and mocktails, paying homage to Mövenpick’s Swiss roots as a purveyor of chocolate excellence. In this bar experience, guests can choose their level of ‘darkness’, ranging from 70% to 90% of the high grade fine Swiss chocolate. The drink menu features some creative hot and cold mixes, with standouts such as the Choco Castro, highly recommended, comprising Hennessy V.S.O.P, Bailey’s Irish Cream, 90% Swiss chocolate, rum and cream or how about a Brody, made with white chocolate vodka, Bailey’s, strawberry sauce and cream.

The Lelawadee menu features authentic Thai classics, a wide array of western favorites and Mediterranean cuisine with such notable as hummus, mixed grill and kebab. The breakfast and cosmopolitan dining adventures continued with such delectable dishes as minestrone soup, aromatic dal makhani and rice, the spicy garlic lemon potatoes were extra tasty and the green chicken curry was flavoursome.

Summer benefits

Now you have the chance to create an unforgettable summer experience at Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok. Take up a red hot or super cool offer, save up to 30% and enjoy special benefits for your summer holidays. Just make your reservation before 3 August 2019.

The ritzy style of the eight-storey hotel is apparent the moment you step through the huge entrance doors. The neatly turned out rooms are simply furnished. Service at the Mövenpick is skillful, without being invasive.

To observe the Bangkok skyline, head up to the Rainforest Rooftop Bar where you can sip classic cocktails and take in panoramic city views. Spread across the hotel’s three buildings, the expansive garden-style rooftop area offers plenty of space to relax, enjoy a cocktail and contemplate the sea of high rises around.

The hotel is connected to the city via both the BTS Skytrain and MRT Subway, both of which have stations at the Asok Interchange hub, just a five-minute walk away.

If walking is not your preference, then you can avail yourself of the free round-the- clock tuk tuk shuttle service. Whether it be short jaunts around the neighbourhood or excursions further afield to the Grand Palace or Chao Phraya River, the central location and easy, convenient public transport connections make this hotel the right choice. There’s also a free coach transfer to Terminal 21 and a complimentary transfer service to Bumrungrad International Hospital, south-east Asia’s largest private hospital.

Sukhumvit Road is renowned for its shopping hubs, like Terminal 21 Shopping Mall and the glitzy EmQuartier and the bustling thoroughfare is also loaded with an endless array of eating choices, from fine ethnic dining restaurants to excellent street food. This is also Bangkok’s biggest bar district with the entertainment area of Nana, club-happening Soi 11, craft beer pubs and plenty of standalone bars all close by.

When visiting Bangkok, this five-star hotel makes it easy to relax, work, explore, dine and discover at you’re leisure.

Ultimately, however, Bangkok draws its unique flavour from its people who are friendly, easy-going and fun-loving. They possess a rare tolerance that instills the city with a real sense of freedom. At times it’s hectic, yet what is reflected is Bangkok’s good-natured acceptance of life with all its quirkiness.

Choco Castro: sweet drinks can take the place of dessert or else be part of a fun-filled bar and nightcap experience at the Lelawadee Restaurant at the Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok, Thailand.

You’ll marvel at the glories of the past and delight in the golden opportunities of the present. Thailand’s ‘City of Angels’ is a captivating place where possibilities are limited only by one’s imagination!

That sentiment is reiterated in this quote from the Dalai Lama: “Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before”.
